Rogue PvP Guide – Learn To Play Your Rogue In WoW Arena And Battlegrounds At Maximum

To help the World of Warcraft players understand their rogues better I have decided to write this rogue PvP guide. If you want fun playing PvP in World of Warcraft, the rogue class is maybe the best choice. But the rogue class is also one of the most complex classes to play and as a rogue you need to be able to get the maximum potential of your character in order to defeat especially the resistant classes of the game.

The basics of playing a rogue

As the first step of this rogue PvP guide I will show you what are the most important features that a rogue must have in PvP. No matter what kind of PvP you practice, battleground, arena or outdoor PvP (which is the most fun PvP to play as a rogue) what you need to understand first is that stealth is the most important ability that a rogue has. So, stealth must be improved at maximum and used at maximum possible. The talents Master of Deception and Camouflage must be capped so that your ambush attacks reach the maximum efficiency. Also, at the moment, rogues are pretty “squishy”, that means your main card to play is attack. You must attack and kill without being hit at all, if possible, because if another damage dealer lands one or two attacks on you, you’ll probably lose a lot of health and you’ll be already with one foot in the grave. What a rogue must do is deal as much damage as possible in a very short time, keeping the enemy stunned so he doesn’t deal any damage or any heals. I hope that the basics of playing a rogue, reviewed in my mini rogue PvP guide have will help you a little in improving your gameplay. I will continue with the importance of a rogue in the battlegrounds.

The role of a rogue in battlegrounds

The second step of this rogue PvP guide puts into view the value of this class for the battlegrounds content. The first thing to understand here is that having weak defenses, rogues must concentrate especially on attacking the battlegrounds points of interest. Defending a base, a graveyard or any point of interest in a battleground is very hard with a rogue. No matter how much you interrupt the attackers, they will eventually catch you and you will “burn like paper”, sometimes not even having enough time to report the attack. A high importance of a rogue in attack is especially in Alterac Valley, when the enemy base towers will fall easily under and attack of just 2-3 rogues. There were times when I managed to cap the enemy base towers alone, with a little luck, of course. In the battlegrounds based on capturing flags, rogues can be excellent flag runners if they know how to avoid the pursuers, using the sprint ability.

The role of a rogue in arena

The third step of this rogue PvP guide makes a reference to the utility of the rogue in arena. The one thing you must keep in mind when playing arena with any class not just as a rogue, is that the team is more important than you. Your role as a rogue is to use the maximum of your crowd control (sap + blind) and keep the opponent that your team is attacking, stunned, also inflicting the maximum damage possible. Being the class with the weakest defenses you must avoid getting damaged at all costs so that your team won’t waste their mana on healing you.

As a conclusion for this rogue PvP guide, no matter what kind of PvP you’re into, arena or battlegrounds, I must say that a rogue is more like a DPS class for support than a heavy DPS class like a mage, hunter or retribution paladin. The rogue must play as the one that prepares the target for the heavy DPS.

Learn To Play Your Death Knight In WoW PvP Arena And Battlegrounds

Everyone considers the death knight class overpowered in PvP, but what most of the players don’t know is that being effective in any PvP situation, this type of character must play all its cards properly. I’m writing this death knight PvP guide to help all the players understand this class better and to have an arena or battlegrounds higher performance.

The basics of playing a death knight in PvP

In this part of my death knight PvP guide I will outline the general characteristics of this class’ gameplay in PvP. Unlike for other classes, the PvP gameplay is much a lot different from the PvE. The only difference is that in PvP, as a DK you must use a lot more abilities to be efficient. The most important thing for obtaining the maximum efficiency of your DK is knowing and understanding how to use your runes. You must learn how to manage the cooldowns of your runes and abilities to deal the maximum damage possible in a short period of time. The best spec for PvP as a DK is unholy. This spec grants you the control of e very powerful pet. The pet alone can deal with the lesser armored classes like rogues for example, and you need to know exactly what class to target when you send your pet to attack. The AoEs that the DK class possesses are very effective especially against stealthed units and they are also very intimidating for any opponent, making them try to run away. All in all, the DK is a heavy DPS class. I will continue this death knight PvP guide revealing the role of this class in PvP battlegrounds.

The role of the death knight in PvP battlegrounds

This section of my death knight PvP guide focuses the attributions of this class in any of the five battlegrounds. As I said, DKs are a heavy DPS class. Using PvE DPS equipment they make fearful attack pieces, being able to bring down 2-3 opponents at one time. A DK can also be an excellent defender if they team up with a healer. I have seen the other day a base defended by a holy paladin and a DK against seven attackers for several minutes. In the battlegrounds based on flag capturing, a DK can be a good flag carrier. Supported just by one healer, any DK can easily cap enough flags to win the game. The next paragraph of this death knight PvP guide makes a reference to the role of this class in arena.

The role of the death knight in PvP arena

For the arena gameplay any DK should use resistant gear, to be one of the last players standing. The damage done by a DK with defensive equipment is pretty decent, so no matter in which bracket you play arena, this class is the heavy DPS type. Your targets are the lesser armored, the casters or the healers. Using the silencing and the interruption spells, this class can be a heavy burden for an opponent healer, even if you don’t kill him you can play as a support for your team. Managing your runes at maximum is a must for DK to be efficient in arena.

As a conclusion for the present death knight PvP guide, I must say this class is the guy who kills people in any battleground or in any arena bracket. It can be an excellent defender as well as attacker.
