“There’s still much work to do and many details to iron out, but the basic idea is that players will be able to use the service to transform an existing character into a roughly equivalent character of the opposing faction on the same realm. Players who ended up creating and leveling up characters on the opposite factions from their friends have been asking for this type of functionality for some time, and we’re pleased to be getting closer to being able to deliver it.”

If you’re a veteran World of Warcraft player, you already know about the issues that come up when the Horde/Alliance ratios are unbalanced on any given server.

It’s the new players who do not necessarily understand what this hype is all about, so here are some of the biggers issues associated with this issue:

First and foremost, PvP play is more of a problem. If Horde outnumbers Alliance, and you play Horde, you can basically do nothing about being ganged up on by the larger group, or vice versa.

And the battlegrounds? One side will always win, and the losers never gain any points for all the fuss and fun.

Suggest you always research servers looking for the ones that are well-balanced. Or if you’re in a giving mood, transfer to a server that needs your faction to help.
